Special Sanitation Commission to be Asked For.

[From Our Correspondent.]

HONG KONG, Thursday. Owing to the strong dissatisfaction of rate- payers with the general sanitary condition of Hong Kong, and particularly with the present plague outbreak, a public meeting will abortly be held to formulate a petition to the Colonial Secretary asking him to appoint a special commission on sanitation, also requesting the i establishment of a municipal council similar

to the one at Singapore.
